Hoping to hear back from 36 mm Omega Seamaster (preferably Quartz) owners about your experiences with your watches, specifically:

  • Servicing - is there much to service? Do they need anything besides gaskets and battery change done? Does it use a standard battery, so it can can be purchased aftermarket, or does it have to go back to Omega?

TL;DR: As per the title - has this happened to anyone?

I've owned my BB58 Blue for a few years now and have taken it to lots of adventures. It used to be my grail watch for many years before I got it. It's extremely comfortable, keeps great time, has a fantastic bracelet and fantastic double locked clasp. It fits me perfectly and besides the lack of on-the-fly micro-adjust on the bracelet and slight bezel alignment issue, I can't fault it in any way. It's got beautiful...
