Birthday coming up and wife and kids are asking what I want. I mean, what do you buy the man who has everything? :sour:

Anyway, I’ve decided a decent, do-it-all, chef’s knife would be good.

They can’t afford hundreds so preferably under £100.

I’m meeting a mate at Charing Cross on Thursday but not familiar with pubs round that way, other than Covent Garden and the environs.

He has limited time before his train back, so does anyone have recommendations for decent boozers as near as possible to the station?

Must serve proper beer and preferably no disco or TV. We’re not eating so not bothered by the menu, although pork scratching supplies would be good. :eagerness:

I have two of those shallow glass dome light fittings in the bathroom ceiling.

One of the bulbs started dimming and dying so I bought some replacement Energizer LED G9s. However, the first new bulb flashed brightly when the switch was turned on, then instantly dimmed to barely anything. I tried to refit it a coupe of times, but same thing.

The second new bulb seemed to work OK, but now, four days later, it’s done the same thing and dimmed to nothing.

The old bulb was a Phillips LED and worked fine for nearly 3 years.

There is no dimmer, just standard on/off switch outside the bathroom.

I’ve ordered 10 halogen bulbs, so will see how those work.

Is it just rubbish Energizer bulbs or is something else at play? The other light seems to be still going strong with a Phillips LED bulb.

Bit annoying…

Just noticed it last night. I thought something was stuck on the bezel until I realised it was actually the only bit of the triangle left.

Anyone else had this happen on a CWC diver or know how much a replacement bezel would be? I can live with it, but … :sour:
