2852 Constellation Waffle redial?

Hi all,

Just wanted to check and see if any expert eye agrees with my assessment that this 2852 is a redial. Dial condition is suspiciously good, especially in contrast to the wear on the lugs. I think also the lettering looks off. No flat top on the ‘A’s for example. That said, if this is a redial, its a very good one.

Serial number is 148… so a 19 jewel cal 501, late 50s.

Thoughts on this 2852 Constellation

Hi guys,

Still on the hunt for a nice seamaster or, more likely a connie with the 50s fat arrowhead hour markers. Got a nice example here from Japanese dealer Tachibana Watch Shop. Granted, if patina isnt your thing then this won’t be for you.

Any immediate red flags jumping out to the 2852 experts out there? Thanks!

Omega De Ville gold- legit lettering?

Hi guys,

My first post in this community so go easy on me!

It’s the usual dilemma . Fallen in love with this vintage 1968 De Ville online listing – however the lettering, specifically the two ‘L letters’ looks quite bunched together on the pics. Is this legit?

Out of interest, how is the lettering on the dial applied in the first instance? Hand written, so in theory each watch is unique – or a standardised text?
