What makes this even more special is that this is version 2 of Solarbeat that was quietly released in November 2024. Instead of the sandwich dial from v1, the dial of v2 is micro perforated to allow more light in, making it twice efficient.

I'm surprised there wasn't more media buzz around the release of Tank Must Solarbeat V2 since Nov 2024. I guess that worked exactly as how Cartier hoped for with a quiet release.

I myself was pretty bummed when I heard the the Tank Solarbeat was discontinued due to manufacturing constraint and issues with the movement. I always wanted one.

Then just this week I learned about the Solarbeat V2 through a friend. And of course, I had to pick one up.
