i took a mutli-year hiatus from the forums but have recently become more active. since reactivating my account i have noticed a lot of what appear to be bot accounts creating open ended threads, or posting pictures of fakes, or asking bizarre questions.

what is the purpose of this? i guess, like, how does this benefit a scammer or a spammer in the long run? i'm just really puzzled by this behavior.
