So, once I find a watch I am interested in, my new normal is to check WUS marketplace first. If it is not available there, I start looking at other options on-line. However, I have yet to purchase a watch on-line and wondered if you all could recommend any reputable on-line shops that you wouldn't have any issue purchasing a watch from.

Does it make sense to buy a used Rolex Sub or GMT for about 25% to 50% more than retail than to buy 3 or 4 watches from an AD just to get a new Rol...

So, maybe a bit of a rhetorical question, but wanted to get your thoughts and musings on this question:

Does it make sense to buy a used Rolex Sub or GMT for about 25% to 50% more than retail than to buy 3 or 4 watches from an AD just to get a new Rolex in a couple of years at retail price?

Seems like I would be spending much more on multiple watches to get a new Rolex than I would to just buy a used one for a higher price . . .

Are there other tradeoffs besides $ that I should consider…

What was the first watch that you got that you considered to be a true “luxury” watch?

Mine was the Omega Seamaster 007 “No time to die” watch. Purchased naively on a cruise. Was too embarrassed to wear the watch for the first couple months.
