Having just sent my Omega SMP for a service, I was wondering whether keeping watches in my rotation on a winder is a good or bad thing when considering wear on the movement. I have a modest collection, and switch between my SMP and Breitling Colt GMT on a daily basis. I also have a Seiko SKX that I wear as a "beater". Over the last three years, I've been using a watch winder which keeps the power reserve at about 60 - 70% when the watch is not worn. I'm unsure if I should just let my watches...

My Omega SMP has been acting up lately. The hacking started to fail, and the time keeping has slowly degraded. Up until two days ago, the timing was not too bad. But after resetting the time two days ago, the watch stopped. It did start again, but the timing is poor. The last full service was in 2016, so I believe I got very good mileage.
