Keeping Chronograph at Non-Zero Position?

Hello guys and thanks for the read.

Possibly a dumb question, but I was just curious… is it bad for a chronograph if you keep it at a non-zero position purely for asthetic purposes?

Meaning, start the chronograph, have it run about 37 seconds, stop it. Leave the second hand at 37 seconds.

I’ve occasionally found a few discussions, but it doesn’t seem there is anything conclusive. My chronograph has the Omega 3300 movement.
