If you remove all (your) sensory input – what do “you” become? You lose sight, smell, taste, hearing, all sense of touch. I guess you would go insane – but how would you know without any input?

This is the opposite of locked in syndrome where you still have senses but cannot communicate anything.

Does anyone own one of these? Seeking thoughts about practicality of this IWC.- stunner in my opinion…

Strongly considering adding this GS to my little portfolio. 37mm Evolution 9 case and slimmed down to 11mm, it has the only the fly adjustable bracelet and for the watch nerds – improved UFA springdrive movement an evolution of the springdrive. With Sealed oscillator and sensors – but adjustable.

The fly in ointment is the MRP of 12,000€ for the Ti on Ti version. My local dealer has been allocated one, and I can reserve it with a deposit.

What does the consensus think? Great watch – priced too high? It is a new movement and priced inline with other manufacturers these days.

Bit of fun – for a Zulu watch it makes more sense (for me) to have 12 at the 12 noon (midday) position of a dial and 24 at 6 o’clock (midnight). With some mental gymnastics I’ve adjusted the new GMT to my preferred configuration. I think this work as the whole bezel is illuminated and has no bezel pip. Perhaps it would look strange on other GMTs with only a bezel pip at the 24h, not sure.

This way, at noon (GMT) the 24h hand is at 12 o’clock. It can easily be used for a rough compass bearing when the sun shines!

How do you wear your GMT (with rotating bezel)?

Hot on the tail of my MN FXD GMT – I have in mind a pilot style watch but with decent wrt. I’ve been eyeing up these two.

Comments from owners and others welcome. The only gripe about the Zenith is the slightly strange date window at 6pm and it has more than a hint of the Aquanaut about it (I could kick myself for selling mine but hey ho).

IWC has a history of pilot watches I think Zenith less so. There is quite a difference in MRP but less so on the second hand market.
