Ordered a strap from Graham Watches. Wasn't thinking that it would come without the curved spring bars nor a clasp. Especially for the price. Nothing indicated I was going to get a strap that's too short and without any hardware. Am I just dumb? They tout it as a being for the type of watch I have but it's not the same size as the stock strap at all. They won't respond to me.

Wondering if these are the "Caller" or "Traveller" type? I downloaded the manual but it's not clear.

Want to be able to adjust the hour hand without impacting the GMT hand.

I have a couple of watches where the lug holes are so close to the case that they require straps with curved ends/curved pins.

There likely isn't even room for a NATO style strap.

I think I have two choices.
1) Drill a second set of strap pin holes in the lugs further away from the body
2) Buy the correctly fitting straps from the manufacturer

Buying curved straps off the internet is iffy given that many of them are only guaranteed to fit popular models such as those from Tudor and Omega…

How do you guys deal with curved strap watches?

Now that I’ve more than a few years of watch collecting under my belt, these common watch features are a stop sign for me:

1. Integrated bracelets or lug designs that preclude use of third party straps
2. A case size smaller than 40mm
3. No seconds track (I like to set to the second)
4. Regulator design (cool but I want to see the time clearly and quickly)

And some features that make me hesitate but aren’t show stoppers:

• Quartz movements
• No lume
• Cheap…

Design elements that stop me from buying a watch

Automatic but not something that will attract unwanted attention (so no Rolex, Vacheron Constatine, etc).

42mm to 44mm in size.

Ball has a nice one but it’s not available yet and my experience with Ball watches hasn’t been stellar.

Never heard of this one and I've been collecting for many years. I don't own the watch, it belongs to a good friend of ours who just inherited it. He's thinking of selling it but I'm trying to convince him to keep it. He's not a watch guy.
