Every Rolex owner knows the tactile feel of winding a crown, but what about the sound? That buttery, almost dampened click of the ratchet wheels; the satisfying snap of a clasp closing; the faint rattle of an Oyster bracelet from the vintage era.

Other brands are often judged on visuals and mechanics, but Rolex seems to have an acoustic identity too. Some collectors even say they can tell a fake by the way the clasp “snaps.”
