[not] Sinn Rubber

I took a chance on an Islander rubber strap with deployment clasp for my EZM 9. It fits perfectly. Hard to beat for ~$65. I might sandblast the clasp so it is a better match for the case but it doesn’t really bother me as is.

I recently bought a Sinn EZM 9 watch and it came on the leather strap. I much prefer bracelets but can’t see ponying up what Sinn wants for a tegimented titanium bracelet. So, I bought a decent titanium bracelet and then spent $25 at Harbor Freight for a bead blasting gun. It will never get as dark as the watch case but the blasted finish is much closer than the brushed finish it came with. Have you ever lost, damaged or destroyed a watch? I tend to baby my stuff but I’m also quite active outdoors (hunt, fish, kayak, hike, camp, etc.). Once, on a mountain fishing trip I fell down a rock face and hit so hard at the bottom that it broke my tail bone. My Sinn 104 flew off my wrist and into the stream. It took a while to find it in the fast water. It was [mostly] undamaged but was missing a spring bar and had a few scratches.
