I'm relatively new to watches and am considering one from a microbrand that uses a Miyota 9019. While looking up that movement, I found that it's been discontinued by Miyota.

So, my question is: Is it a problem that it's been discontinued? It sounds like more and more folks are replacing movements entirely rather than servicing them due to the cost of labor. And this is a sub-$500 watch.
