Many on here travel a fair bit and due to the complexity of my question, Google isn’t giving me the clearest answer. The scenario is as follows: –

UK Passport

Issued August 2015
Expires February 2026

Length of passport 10 years 6 months.

Travelling from the UK to USA but transiting via Portugal. Travelling on an ESTA.

USA don’t care about the passport being over 10 years in validity and just require 6 months from date of entry ( I believe)

Transiting via Portugal is what is worrying me. Its a connecting flight booked through as 1 journey, therefore I am not leaving the airport.

You read all of these horror stories about people being denied boarding due to their passport not being valid.

Looking online, Portugal requires the passport to be less than 10 years old at point of entry and it needs to have more than 3 months left on it.

If the above is correct, then I should be fine. What are peoples thoughts?
