Jaws is an awesome movie, especially the new HD version. It contains lots of underwater and dive references and some pretty great characters, especially the ‘Matt Hooper’ character played by Richard Dreyfuss. In the book he gets munched but on screen he makes it out alive.

You should be able to see that I’ve filled the gap in the hour hand with C3X1 lume. I’ve also lubricated the gaskets and regulated the watch so that it is +- 2 seconds per day.
It was fun, but I haven’t worn it in months so I’m moving it on.

Continue readingIt has an internally domed sapphire crystal with great AR. It has the Marinemaster 5 piece bracelet with the ratcheting extension. I also have a Grand Seiko rubber strap which I’ve worn it on if you are interested.
I have worn it surfing a fair bit, but the Diashield coating is holding up well so there are only a few small hairline marks on the clasp.
