this thread is about a special type of Zenith watch, namely pocket stopwatches and pocket watch chronographs. Zenith began developing them around the turn of the century in 1900, or rather, became interested in watches of this type. This apparently wasn’t immediately successful – the first chronograph I know of is a LeCoultre one with a Zenith bridge. So, it was purchased. Zenith Observatory Chronometers – what’s out there?

Hi all,

I’ve been digging into Zenith’s history a bit, especially their achievements in observatory trials at Kew and Neuchâtel. As many of you know, Zenith was among the manufacturers that scored high marks in these competitions—well before the wristwatch era.
