So, I got this 505 constellation movement, original dial, and hands basically thrown in on a deal. It came with a loose 2852 caseback, and an incorrect mid case that the back doesn’t fit. The caseback is nice with a good medallion.

The movement seems intact and will run after a good COA, but I’m wrestling with what I want to do with it. Ideally I could find a steel 2852 mid case, but I’m not sure that’s an easy ask. I wouldn’t mind paying nicely for one since it’s basically all the $$ I…

Help with constellation reference

Good afternoon, I picked up a couple constellations this morning. Both need service and have mottled dials from moisture, but one needs a caseback and I’m not familiar with the reference. I know you all can help.

Serial is 15M range on a 505 movement which puts it around 1956 but it’s in a straight lug case. It may be an incorrect upper case as we also found a loose 2852 caseback.

What do you think? I’d like to get it correct. Thanks!

Valjoux 69 ?

The 10.5 ligne valjoux 69 is an interesting movement to me and seems a mostly undocumented history. The caliber powered what are known widely as ‘petite’ or ‘baby’ chronographs, and I believe it was the smallest chronograph produced. I’ve owned one before (Gallet Officer), and I have just traded a friend for another (Minerva).
