I recently found a vintage watch with intriguing engraving on the back. It is a 9 carat case, but apart from that I cannot determine the maker. Someone has clumsily written the word rolex on the dial, which rings an alarm. However, on the back the engraving appears:
"To "Wild Bill" Wellman from L.B.Mayer May 16 1929"
