Over the past few years I’ve used RMSD with Secursus insuring the journey but since that option seems sketchy at best now i was wondering what others use for sending watches over £2500 with full cover.

Hate saying the name but who’s going to beat Trump?…just hit 3 centuries in a row. Cant see anyone touching him this year.

Was wondering if anyone had any informed information about this or have gone through this themselves?

My in-laws enjoyed a lovely week down in Devon last October and were impressed enough to book again this coming June. Sadly my FIL passed away at the start of march and it became quite clear that the MIL didn’t have it in her to go away alone. We contacted the hotel within days and advised the situation and they offered us only to move the booking date to later in the year. Mainly due to the MIL not being in particularly great health, nobody in the family being able to use the booking we requested that it was refunded…after all we were giving them over 4 months notice. They instantly refused and told us to refer back to the booking conditions that were original sent to them. We checked for any paperwork and it was clear that all the correspondence were done via email and we have gone through everything 3 times and can find no terms and conditions or cancellation details. We again phoned them and they told us that they would not refund but this time referred us back to their website where cancellation terms can be found. I was already on their website when my wife phoned and so my wife asked them where to find these terms and all of a sudden for some reason the lady on the desk couldn’t understand what we were trying to ask. It was a simple question “ where are your terms and conditions and cancellation policy” but she was unable to answer and in the end slammed down the phone.
We have trawled through their website yet again and have rechecked the email and 100% there is no mention cancellation details.
The holiday is nearing £3000 which included full board for both of them. We have begged to their better nature, given them enough time to fill the dates yet every time they refuse on the basis of their terms which don’t exist. I know they should have taken out insurance…they didn’t.
My wife has tried CAB on several occasions but can never get through…advice online seems mixed.
Surely this cant be right…or am i missing something?

My in-laws have got an Economy 7 storage heater fitted in their apartment which up until recently has been working fine. My FIL died a few weeks ago and we assumed that somewhen over the past few weeks shes likely been fiddling. It doesn’t appear to be getting any power to it as the unit is stone cold. Ive checked that both switches are on, that the fuse for it hasn’t tripped and that setting appears ok. Obviously it’s been a bit warmer of late and so does anyone know that if the unit was below the house temperature would it still draw power from the economy 7 overnight?

After almost 11 years with the Tempur mattress we decided it was time to replace it although to be honest it’s still pretty good. It takes a while to reshape but it’s still pretty comfortable. We’ve gone for the latest Tempur medium firm mattress with the motion base and very nearly sucked in to buying the Tempur quilt. They’re by all accounts only 6 tog but due to their make up they keep you at a constant 22-23 degrees during the winter. The sales guy said that 6 tog was enough and that you’d never need another quilt as they’re designed for all year round. Could anyone who has one share their experiences? In the depths of winter are they enough to keep you warm or are you topping it with something else?
