Just had this years renewal.

Went for 20%+ last year, now gone up by around 50% £1053 to £1556.

No claims made. When I called them last year there was nothing doing on the negotiations front.

Anyone has a similar experience or is it just me?! Recommendations for alternative providers greatly received.

Going to remortgage a couple of properties, been offered the following:

2yr fixed, interest only, private name, against a student 4 bed HMO, no fees 4.84%

2yr base rate tracker, interest only, private name, against a student 5 bed HMO, £1500 fees, 5.18%

Might be a nice diversification to have one fixed and one tracker, but 2 rate cuts and the tracker will be winning.

Quite how fast rates will drop given recent issues who knows. Be interested to hear the thoughts of anyone.
