For me it's the Seiko SBDL095. Reasons not to buy it:

It's a Seiko (lost my faith in them due to QC issues every single time)
I don't like aluminium bezel inserts (they scratch easily and fade over time)
I don't like that small, badly placed date window
The movement, because it comes with that utterly useless 24 hour subdial
Overpriced at € 770 (=about $ 900) in the Netherlands

And yet it still is the best looking panda dial chronograph under $ 1000 imo, which…

My more serious watch collecting hobby started around 2017. Before it was mostly Casios and fashion watches.

I tried out many designs which you can see from the picture below of all the watches i've owned at some point.

But if you compare that to my current collection, only two styles of watches have survived:

The digital watches and dive (style) watches.

I've never owned a field watch or pilot watch as those...

Who here also has a limited taste in watch styles?

I love the B5000D-1, but who would deny it's too blingy/flashy? Why they did a mirror finish on the case is beyond me. It's a tool watch after all. It also gives a weird contrast to the (mostly) brushed bracelet, so they don't look like they belong together. It would have looked a lot better with a brushed case and just some polished chamfers.
Recently i wore the watch during nighttime tennis and the watch looked pretty appalling with all the night lights reflecting on it.

So i took matters...
