My aunt surprised me a couple of weeks ago with this, the watch my grandfather used working on The New Haven-officially the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad. Hi all,

I’m looking for some help with this FHF 908. It runs very fast, 400spd fast, with amplitude around 200. The train runs freely with good backlash and the pallet lever moves back and forth by gravity. With everything installed the movement starts easily with two winds. All this to say I think the problem lies in the balance. I’ve demagnetized and cleaned everything, I don’t see any sticking or rubbing of the coils, but I am a bit confused by the stud holder and regulator.
