Whilst looking for something else at the weekend I found my old Seiko Orange Monster under the bed. I bought this new sometime around 2010, wore it in rotation for a bit, used it for a few holidays, and it’s spent many years since in hiding. Set the time, gave it a shake and it’s been keeping perfect time since.
Tank of a case, 200m WR, automatic (though no hand winding or hacking), from an established name and, from memory, cost me about £100 new. A quick search even suggests it’s more than doubled in value since I bought it.
Got me thinking, what’s everyone’s best bang for buck cheapy they own?
