I’m thinking about selling several of my watches to buy a Lange Saxonia Thin (on the secondary market). It would be about twice the value of my most expensive watch, a 126900 Rolex Air-King. I’d sell the Rolex, a Habring2 Felix, and maybe a M.A.D.1 Lucky Clover.

I’m thinking about adding a white dial sports watch and these two have caught my eye. My budget is up to ~$7k-ish, though prefer less. For the Panerai I’d for sure go secondary.

I tried on both the IWC and Panerai. That IWC bracelet is incredible and the dial is more silver, with some texture, which looked quite good in person. The Panerai surprised me, I like the look and comfort and the simplicity of a two hander appeals.

TLDR: The Formex microadjustable deployant is excellent and their leather strap is pretty nice, too.

I’m very picky about the sizing of my straps and bracelets, which is why I most often wear watches on Erika’s MN straps. As nice as they are, I do want to wear a leather strap sometimes, but often the holes are just in the wrong location, one too loose, the next in too tight. In the past I’ve gone rogue and punched another hole in the strap, but I don’t want to do that on my nicer straps…
