My next watch is going to be an Explorer. Over the past few months I have had both the 39mm and the 40mm on my wrist at different times. Size is not a concern for me since both worked, but I have not been able to see them side by side at the same dealer.

I’m looking for some perspective on my next move. Right now my collection is:

IWC Mark XVIII (blue)
Tudor Pelagos (black)
Omega Speedmaster Racing (white)

My plan has always been to keep things fairly tight — ideally 3–4 watches — and I’ve been saving for a 40mm Rolex Explorer. With tax in my state, buying new would be about $8,600.
