German Watch Brands in Japan

I’ve noticed that German watch brands like Sinn, Hanhart, and Nomos are consistently more expensive here in Japan compared to prices in the EU, US, or even Australia.

Even when buying through official Japanese dealers, the markup can be significant. The U50, for instance, costs around 4,100 USD in Japan, while the model can be had in the EU for 2,990 USD. Moreover, in countries like Taiwan, the price is also lower, although more than in the EU.
