Wile browsing the production of this Russian company CCCP, I came across a model Gurevich, which is the twin brother of the Steinhart aviation series.

there are some differences.

The front of the case seem to have screws as opposed to bolts and the crown is different and the luk distance is 26mm instead of 24.

However this is really uncanny and cannot be a coincidence.

Gurevich , by the way was a co-founder of the company which created MIG planes.

I saw some time ago, a Rolex for sale here in the NL, the dial had some kind of damage, perhaps water damage.

I though, well, if this was mine I'd consider customise it .

Of course the watch would be no longer serviceable, as is, by rolex , but the you could still have it serviced by someone else and , in ultimate analysis , you or someone else could always bring it back to original by replacing the part or parts which are offending rolex.

This is a tachymeter bezel which came on my Speedmaster Day Date Chronometer ref. 3220.50.00 (it also should fit other day date triple date models)

It has a minute (see pictures) scratch between the 225Kmh to 250Kmh.

I had it replaced but I suppose this can be of use to someone else with a worse damage or a missing bezel.
