Glycine Combat Pro 42 – New Yellow Beauty

I was browsing yellow dial watches Sunday and came across this beauty. Did not know it existed. I’ve wanted a combat sub for some time but none of the colors attracted me, and I have a healthy disdain for mercedes hands.

Once I saw it could not be unseen and it was ordered. Arrived today from Germany by Fedex without a hitch. Arrived a day early and no issues with tariffs.

I love yellow/black/white colorways and the dial on this with the yellow on both sides of the minute ring really hits…

Watches You’ve Gifted – Share Them

My older brother visited recently. He is the type of older brother that a younger brother wishes to have. Last thanksgiving I bought a Seiko 7548-700F from an old clock shop in Utah. Took it to my watch guy and had a new stem and crown installed and a general cleaning done.
My brother introduced me to watches and now he, his son and I have a weekly text-off regarding mods, buys, and wants.
So the night before he left I gave him an early Bday present. It now has a blue silicone band but i…

Watch hands – Painting and result

My Epos has an all black dial and black hands. Unless the angle of light was just right I could never tell the time. I read a few posts about painting watch hands. Gathered all the stuff and went to town.

DIY – Hide my watches while on a trip

I have a nephew that lives nearby that has a crazy affinity for watches. He lives on the spectrum, but holds a job, drives and all that fun stuff. But boundaries are not his thing. I came home after work two months ago to find him in my room with all of my watches laid out on my bed. As I walked in he was taking my brand new Longines master off and just tossed it amongst a bunch of other watches.

We can say he’s lucky to still be alive when I saw that. But I’m leaving town for the weekend…

New Watch Day – Ultramarine Albatross

Just arrived and its a stunner. I love watches with numbers at 3/6/9/12 and with no date. Once I saw this I could not unsee it and a great deal popped up on a search.

Website to the watch: https://www.ultramarine-watches.com/product-page/albatros9021

It has an Eterna Cal. 3902A, no date, running the show. I’ve been collecting movements more than brands or design. The finish on this is very nice.
