I want to purchase an arctic marathon GSAR cause I always am told how tough they are . If fact Anytime anyone brings up “tough” mechanical watches with shock resistance and whatnot , tons of people always bring up the marathon GSAR. I know they have been used in the military but besides that there’s nothing exceptional about them from what I can tell. They use the same sellita sw-200 that hundreds of watch makers use. They don’t have any extra shock protection in the movement or the case…

Been eyeing a marathon GSAR arctic auto. People ALWAYS say they are though watches , but, what makes them so tough with a standard SW-200 movement
