Aqua Terra 1574/898 bracelet on 41mm Seamaster Diver (success!)

My 1574/898 arrived today, after a prolonged shipping delay. I was eager to see if this really works—and it does, and I’m quite thrilled with the result, as I love my 41mm ceramic diver, but dislike the non-tapering, chunky-clasp, and IMO way over-ornamented bracelet it came on. I just wanted a standard oyster-style bracelet, and I love the concealed clasps on the ATs.

IWC Cal 89, 18k Rose Gold, 37mm, from 1956

Up for sale is a gorgeous IWC cal 89 from approx 1956. It’s in lovely condition (pristine dial!), though of course–as one expects for 70-year-old piece–it’s not utterly flawless with some swirls on the case, for example. But absolutely ready for daily wear.

But there’s no service warranty card. Should there be one? Doesn’t a service come with a fresh 2-year warranty? (I know I got one from Rolex when I…

Incoming: IWC Cal 89

With gratitude to OF—both the seller and those who helped me (at some length, both in threads and in PM) to sort out the details, here is the 1956 rose gold IWC cal. 89 I bought, which arrived yesterday. My lousy iphone pics exaggerate the hairline scratches (which happens when you take a 37mm watch and blow it up to 2000 pixels) and don’t accurately capture the tone of the gold, which is more coppery-red than what you see here, at least on my monitor.

It’s a fantastic dress watch in the…
