I owned a PAM111, loved the simplicity of the dial and how it looked on my 17cm wrist, but it was a tad big for me. Traded it in for something else a while ago. Then went to the Panerai AD a couple of times and tried their 40mm PAM01372 and I love the size, it is right for me. But it is not cheap at all even on the grey market. So here is my short list of 40mm versions of the Luminor, if you have any words of wisdom to share, go at it!

It does not happen very often that I wear a watch and just love it. I recently picked up a white dial Sinn 104 – and i love it. I am missing a nice black dial in my collection so I have been considering to buy the black dial too – but honestly I question if that would be wise so what has your experience been with redundant purchases?

I have a thing for watches that come on integrated or fitted/curved OEM rubber straps. I also know that many respectable aftermarket suppliers provide nice aftermarket solutions – however – this post is only dedicated to watches that come with OEM fitted / curved rubber straps (not steel bracelets) that hug the watch case.

No judgments here on watches movement, quality, specs, size, etc. Only asthetics.

I have a thing for white dial watches – just love them.

I purchased those 2 watches and would like to keep one only (budget management reasons).

The Stowa is 36mm, approx 11mm, and 18mm lug width
The Orient Star is approx 38.5mm, 12.5mm thick and has 20mm lugs

My thoughts:

Stowa: pros are a super-clean dial design, highly legible. Cons: the 18mm lug width is not my preference, feels a bit too narrow and I cannot use my large collection of nice 20mm leather straps
