I recently purchased the Grand Seiko Spring Drive Diver SBGA 461 and am looking to try it on a strap. The choices out there for "performance" straps have my head spinning. My current favorite is the Hirsch Accent. I like the look and think the glossy finish will pair well with the highly polished case. Other Hirsch contenders are Arne and Tiger.

I need some strap help for Grand Seiko Diver

A few months ago I posted that I was hoping to make my first significant watch purchase in a while. I mentioned to two contenders I liked, Grand Seiko Spring Drive Diver and the white lacquer dial Speedmaster. I never did get to handle the speedy, it's apparently hard to find one in stock at an AD. Maybe a future purchase. I ended up getting the new black lacquer dial Aqua Terra. I'm kind of goofy about wanting some wrist presence with a little pop to it, but not too much. We Have A Winner!

I find it it frustrating that several watches I really like are are not offered in my preferred set-up. First up is the IWC Big Pilot 43.
If they offered the black dial on bracelet I would seriously consider buying it, but the bracelet is only available on the blue dial? Next up, I love the new monochrome no date Seamaster but don't care for mesh or rubber. I know you could buy the bracelets seperate but that seems like it would be cost prohibitive. Also...

Puzzled by some watch configurations.

Thank you for rekindling the watch bug in me. Also known as the WIS Madness (Watch Idiot Savant) I went nuts with watches for about 15 years, from 2005 to 2020 then my interest waned. I was constantly buying used watches here and other places and as soon as the bloom was off the rose I'd sell it and then buy another one. I was always convinced the next watch was going to be the ONE that was going to scratch that itch! I had alot of fun and I'm glad to finally feel like I'm back in the game...

For me it was the Limited Edition Omega Speedmaster Gemini when it came out in 2005. I handled it an AD and could've bought it. It's pricey now so I doubt I'll ever own one. I don't think pictures due the Gemini justice but for full transparency, I'm a sucker for a blue dial with white sub dials! 🤣
