Several years ago the 38mm Hamilton hand-winding field watch caught my eye. I already had watches that were similar enough, and certainly didn’t need another, but there were a lot of really favorable articles and reviews, and I liked its size, and I liked its dial, and it reminded me of another Hamilton watch I had many years earlier. I soon had ants in my pants to buy the watch, and to justify the purchase, I declared it would be my new “easy to read camping watch”. Fair enough.
