Warranty Coverage

RK Watch Service warrants this hardware product against defects in materials and workmanship for 1 YEAR from the date of the original purchase or repair. If a defect exists, at its option RK Watch Service will (1) repair the product at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, or (2) refund the purchase price of the product. A replacement product/part assumes the remaining warranty of the original product or 1 Year from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage for you. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes RK Watch Service’s property.

Note About Mechanical Watches

Mechanical watches are delicate machines by nature, with hundreds of moving parts working to show the correct time. Occasional and accidental abuse can occur, which might necessitate adjustment by a watchmaker. Your repair is warranted for 365 days against workmanship and functionality issues that may arise due to normal wearing conditions within the scope of the manufacturer’s original performance and component design. Components are not warranted against breakage except where explicitly stated by the manufacturer and carrying the manufacturer’s warranty, if applicable.

Exclusions and Limitations

This warranty applies to work performed by us only. This warranty applies only to the components worked on during the repair. If the watch casing was opened within 1st year, the warranty will be voided. Case, parts, crystals, winding, and setting parts are not covered, nor are electric parts (including coils). Water damage is also not covered in this warranty unless the timepiece is pressure-certified by us. Keep in mind, that water resistance is not a permanent condition, as the gaskets inside the watch are subject to deterioration over time.

The Limited Warranty does not apply to any non-RK Watch Service hardware products or any software, even if packaged or sold with RK Watch Service hardware. Non-RK Watch Service manufacturers, suppliers, or publishers may provide their warranties. RK Watch Service and its Authorized Service Providers are not liable for any damage to or loss of any programs, data, or other information stored on any media, or any non-RK Watch Service product or part not covered by this warranty. Recovery of user data is not covered under this Limited Warranty. This warranty does not apply: (a) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, misapplication, or non-RK Watch Service products; (b) to damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not an RK Watch Service Authorized Service Provider; (c) to a product or a part that has been modified without the written permission of RK Watch Service; or (d) if any RK Watch Service serial number has been removed or defaced.

Obtaining Warranty Service

When you contact the RK Watch Service, you will be asked to furnish your name, address, telephone number, and proof of the original receipt containing a description of the work done, and the appropriate serial number(s).
